I’m Alexis Floyd, a photographer based in the Bay Area Region of California. My photographs explore a rhythmic balance of style and intimacy, drawing inspiration from music, fashion, and culture.

I received my B.A. in Mass Communication from Norfolk State University in 2017 and later earned my M.A. from the Academy of Art University in 2023, further deepening my commitment to photography as both a medium and a means of artistic expression.

I have always viewed art as a source of freedom and individuality. Photography has given me the ability to translate that freedom into imagery, allowing me to explore the beauty, complexity, and contradictions of lived experience. Through my practice, I have come to understand that art is ultimately about action—the ability to move someone mentally, emotionally, or physically.

My work is rooted in the belief that an image should do more than exist; it should create a feeling, provoke thought, and leave something behind. Through originality, style, and grace, I use photography to create visual experiences that invite viewers to pause, feel, and move.
